quite busy between taking care of her patients and boarders and doing some of the cooking and washing of clothes. One day when she was doing the washing she put her hand through the wringer of the washing machine. Unfortunately this put an end to her taking care of the sick in her home. Mrs. Irish is the type of lady who cannot stop helping people. She joined the Easter Rebecca Lodge shortly after her accident that ended her career. Here she gave her efforts towards helping the needy. As a result of her outstanding record of attendance and services she was awarded the Declaration of Chilvary. Mrs. Irish also belongs to the Senior Citizens Club in Pickering Village. In her home she holds many quilting bees where the Senior Citizens make quilts to sell. Shown here is the Northern Star which Mrs. Irish made for Dr. Mackey when he left the Dunbarton United Church. Rachael Irish will always be remembered for her loving nature and the way she tried to help people.
