1972 cont'd memorable for judging the contestants in the parade, for the variety of races and for chasing the greasy pig and climbing the greasy pole. Everyone received a prize. The evening program was usually a stage show, featuring local talent, such as the Bath brothers or Bert Harvey with sons Al and Bob. The park has been the scene of countless baseball tournaments, firework displays, track and field meets and many activities.
