Comment concerning the Old Ward Burial Ground, Smiths Falls. The street names have changed. It is on the corner of Aberdeen & Jessie streets. many graves at this site unmarked. Some headstones were moved to Hillcrest cemetery (approx. nine ) the rest were either buried or destroyed in housing/road construction in the area. Headstones were still at this site late 1940's and 50's. Local residents still unearthing partial headstones while planting gardens. Many graves located on what is now Jean Leger school property.
