Shipments to Canada Comforts are going well. When I last spoke with Sylvia Hatï¬eld in Victoria, she asked me to pass on their thanks â€" they are overwhelmed with the support from Ontario. They have sent six forty â€" foot containers to Haiti since the earthquake. In February they sent three to Haiti, two to the Ukraine and one to Sierra Leone. There is a great need for sweaters, baby to teen sizes and for soft tooth brushes, face cloths, pencils and small boxes of crayons as well as soap and towels. It is great fun to have a sewing day. We get to know our fellow W| Members better and accomplish something at the same time. We had one recently in Thunder Bay and made 2 dresses, 7 pairs of shorts and 12 tâ€"shirts. â€" Leila Pettigrew 6 ï¬lom’m‘â€â€œï¬mm£‘ld \â€" @2107! With lessthan six months to go,the 17th annual Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show is ramping up for another great year, and FWIO is onboard again! Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show is the nation’s largest agricultural trade show and has become a permanent ï¬xture on many farm family calendars. And it’s on the FWIO calendar too, as we return to the Show’s Celebrating Healthy Living Expo (CHLE) in 2010 with a dynamic speaker series running September 14th to 16th. CHLE isa hubforexhibitors focused on local food, organic products and women’s programming. In 2009, CHLE was hard to miss. The bright yellow "There’s No Taste Like Home†transport trailer cooked up Ontario local foods and was the backdrop for the FWIO programming stage showcasing top chefs, "living green†experts and health professionals. This year in CHLE, there will be a new set of educational speakers from cooking to gardening to leading a balanced lifestyle. During all three days of the Show, attendees will be able to head to the north end of the Show site and ï¬nd FWIO. Other main features of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show 2010 include the Canadian Energy Expo, sheepdog demonstrations, tillage demonstrations and Auction Thursday. Where you ï¬nd rural Ontario and farmers, FWIO is not far behind. In this case, it’s at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show on September 14, 1S and 16, 2010. Mu - gs: ~ WEE/{lemmw
