For Norma Howe of the Embro area it was her husband Fred’s farm accident that influenced her to start volunteering for the Oxford Farm Safety Association. Back in 1972, Fred fell off a corn crib roof and broke both knee caps. Norma also gives her mother credit for influencing her to work for this organization. The late Jeanne Coulthard belonged to the Perth Farm Pictured (L-R): Oxford District President, sheila Greason, with Safety Association and was also a Member of Norma Howe. St. Paul‘s WI for 75 years. Since 1984, Norma has worked to educate farmers, children and the general public on farm safety.
