Two charter members, Mrs. Roy MeGregor and Mrs. Arthur Moore, took part in Kingsâ€" mill Mapleton‘s ï¬ftieth anniversary meeting. Mrs. Moore giving the address of welcome and Mrs. McGregor conducting the memorial serv- ice, The guest speaker was Mrs. John Adam- snn. formerly of the community, now living in Strutiord. Mrs. Adanison spoke on the Shakespearean Festival and showed pieces of costumes worn by actors and actresses at the festival. A threeâ€"tiered birthday cake was a feature of the tea following the programme. At Mount Forest's ï¬ftieth anniversary an interesting feature of the history of the organâ€" ldatloll gin-n by Mrs. J. A. Robertson, was the note that one of the members, Mrs. G. L. Ernst, now of Mount Forest, attended the Women's Institute Convention in Guelph in 1903 as a delegate from Holstein. This conven- tion was addressed by Mrs. Adelaide Hoodless, founder of the Institute movement. Mrs. Robâ€" ertson credited the Holstein Institute with providing the inspiration for the formation of the Mount Forest branch.
