Her attendance at the First Ontario Confer- ence on Ageing gave her much food for thought and pride in the work being done along this line in the Institutes. She attended the Women’s Institute Holi- days at Guelph and Kemptville, also a few of the sessions at the 4-H Club Conference. The Women’s Institutes can sponsor no better proj- ects than assisting these clubs and their lead. ers, said Mrs. Haggerty, for they are doing a wonderful work with the young girls who will probably become in the future our Women's Institute members. Mrs. Haggerty addressed a Conference on Manitoulin Island and assisted in setting up an Island Rally. In addition to such functions as the Layette Contest, sponsored by the Sal- ada Tea Company, the Opening Ceremonies of the Canadian National Exhibition and the International Ploughing Match, she attended all Area Conventions and the First National Convention in Ottawa.
