Cultural Competitionâ€"“Words and Melody for a Women's Institute Song" ; The purpose of this competition is to obtain an original melody and words that can be sung by Women‘s Institutes as a national song. The entry must be a composition with original words and melody: the words to be (a) three or four line stanzas, melody repeated, or (b) two six line stanzas, melody repeated. Words to be of quality appropriate for a national Institute song. This can be an individual or group project, open to members of Women’s Institutes, Jubilee Guilds of Newfoundland and Homemakers’ Clubs of Saskatchewan ONLY. Notes of melody are to be on music manuâ€" script paper; words are to be typewritten.
