Thc Board Members were happy to endorse a recommendation that action be taken to obtain a TV Channel strirtly for educational purposes. Eleven Board Members who completed their third term of other: at the Spring Board Meeting held a going away party at Macdonald Halt. As each guest entered the Common Room she was presented with a small trilium cars-age. Commun- ity‘ singing. cards and games were enjoyed. Master of Ceremonies was Mrs. Fred Bonnett and Miss Ruth Merlcley, winner at the sccand Thunder Bay Worn- en's Institute scholarship, wearing her high school grad- uation dress which she made herself. Ruth is now a nurseâ€"in-lroining; she is also taking her twelfth 4~H Homemaking Club proiecl. Dorothy Walters of Rocky Ridge 4-H Homemaking Club, winner at the Ottawa Area Women's Insti- tute scholarship last year. Dorothy has completed 3 Garden Clubs and 6 others, and is now assistant leader of the unit "The Club Girl Slands On Guard".
