In the project “The Third Meal", the PRO, Mrs. Watson McCulioch reports “We had a jolly time at the meetings, all held at the home of the president. Shortly after the course was finished one of the members opened her home for a social evening. Our leader and assistant and our hostess were presented with gifts and lunch was served buffet style featuring dishes made in the course." Kawartha had an interesting program at their meeting on Education. The roll call was “One way to help our youth." the motto “As the twig is bent so grows the tree", and there was a panel discussion with institute members, teachers and members of the school board participating.
