This amount, including the balance on hand amounting to $5,300.00 was sent on to F.W.I.C. During the Board meeting. Mrs. Harry Cooper. Board Director for Sub-division 28 presented to F.W.I.O.. on behalf of the woan of Manitoulin Island. a $1000.00 Cheque for a scholarship. Officers’ Conference Mrs. Holder reported that the 16th Officers‘ Conference held last May had the highest num- ber of cancellations in historyâ€"40 per cent. 387 District Directors participated. A new in- novation was the bus trip to the HOOdiE$S Homestead, which proved highly successful. 14 discussion groups were led by board direc- tors as well as other Women‘s Institute mem- bers. After some discussion, the Officers' Con- ference for 1965 is planned for May 5â€"6 at Guelph University, the pooling fee to be $30.00. and one representative from each branch in Ontario will be eligible to attend. these delegates to be chosen from one of the following list of officers: Curator President. Secretary. Public Relations Officer.
