The following morning we drove to Ste Anne de Beaupre and had lunch after which we toured the city of Quebec. The next day we visited Macdonald College near Montreal, where MiSs Norma Holmes, Quebec W.I. Proâ€" vincial Secretary, showed us their Handicraft Exhibit. The following morning we journeyed to Lachute where we were greeted like royalty by the Argenteuil county President, Mrs. C. Hall. and several of her executive and treated to a delicious luncheon. Mrs. Baugh, who is 83 years old is still President of the Lachute Branch and takes very active part in W.I. work. Mrs. George MCGibbon First Vice President of the Quebec Women’s Institutes had just returned from Ireland where she attended the A.C.W.W. Conference, In her remarks she stated that there has been so much in the press regarding the unrest in Quebec, which is unâ€" true. Mrs. Irwin presented Mrs. McGibbon, on behalf of the Ontario ladies, with a copper tooling picture, depicting the handicraft work of the Sun Parlor of Ontario and made by Mrs. Edgar Wilcox, Cottam, Essex. A Petit Point pin was presented to Mrs. C. Hall. As W.I. members we came home with a better understanding of Quebec and have ap- preciated having the experience of meeting our Quebec W.I. sisters. Elk Lake Women‘s Institute has been sponsoring a girl in Pusan. Korea, since May 1962. Ae Hwang is now twelve years old. one of a family of four children, and is in Grade 6 which is the last year in primary school. According to our “Annual Report to the Sponsor" she gains quite good marks at school and is fond of music. Her father works as a bandman in Pusan.
