Hampton Institute recently honored four ‘of its members with life memberships. A paint of interest in the meeting was that the cake made especially for the tea following the presentation had the life members names lettered in the icing. ’ C ‘ At the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition, Women's Institutes of the district had an Institute booth where they gave out Informa- tion about the organization and its work and put on a variety of demonstrations, Members of Conmee Institute made a variety of pan~ cakesâ€"standard pancakes and such variations as graham flour. French, Scotch, graham wafer. apple. carrot, corn and buckwheat. Visitors were given samples and recipes. West Fort William and Stanley branches demonstrat- ed block printing: East Fort William, knitting and woolcraft. On Women‘s Day a pot luck luncheon was served to over fifty women, representatives of Women's Institutes of the area.
