This is the time of the year when nature is bringing about a changing world. The grass is green, tulips and daffodils are in bloom and the trees have burst forth with leaves declarâ€" ing spring is here. What a panorama before our eyes! The topic presented to these young people was “The Community, Your Family and You". Hearing these words brought to my mind the motto of the Women‘s Institute, “For Home and Country". I wish that each of you could have heard the message presented to this group of young people that Sunday morning. It was a challenge to each one to carry their fair share of responsibility in the home and in the community. From this group of young people will come the leaders of Ontario in all walks of life. Let us as members of the Women‘s Institute do our best in whatever position we hold so that we can pass a glowing torch on to our successors. Since my last letter to you I have had many experiences and I have learned of the high re- gard in which our organization. the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario, is held, Let us continue to hold our Association at a high level. We do indeed have a great opportunity to contribute to our community, our family and to assist ourselves. Educational opportuni- ties are available to all of us through training schools, short courses, forums, adult education and rural learning. Those who have attended these courses report they have gained in knowlâ€" edge and understanding. Let us encourage others to avail themselves of this opportunity.
