The ladies wore Cen- tennial Costumes and had made old style cosâ€" , tumes for their husbands to wear. North Dufferin District held a Centennial Cup and Saucer Tea, attended by three hun- dred guests. A candle was lit by a District Director as the story was told of the entry of each province into Confederation. A cup and saucer, with the Centennial symbol in gold, was presented to each guest as a souvenir of the occasion. Kent Centre Branchâ€"held an old-fashioned “quilting bee†Money raised from the sale of the quilt will be donated to funds for North- west Territories Women‘s Institutes for the purchase of craft materials for Indian children.
