It seems almost everything. the wcalhcr. the styles. the educational system, environmental control, mobility of our population, iS expat" encing change. This new year has so many exciting and inâ€" teresting things to do and plan for as far as Women’s Institute members are concerned. With genuine and sincere efforts on the part of our branches, the 75th Anniversary Project will be completed and the goal of $50,000 for the expansion fund for Macdonald Institute will be achieved. I am sure this year, 1971, will pass very quickly. We will all, Branches, Districts, Areas, be making plans to celebrate our Wom- en’s Institute 75th Anniversary which comes in 1972. The initial plans will have to be dreamed up this year. The new “Ontario Women’s Institute Story", a book telling the history of Women's Insti- tutes in Ontario and the eXpansion of this or- ganization outside the province. will be comâ€" pleted this year and will go on sale in Our An- niversary year. The work of the Constitution Committee is progressing well. This takes time but we are working as quickly as possible fully aware that our present supply of hand books has run out. The meetings are a challenge to the Committee and we welcome the letters with suggestions and the interest showu by the members throughout the province. Do you think that 1971 will be almost a lost year when we are so busy planning ahead? What shall We do this year? There are many plans. The Associated Country Women of the World Conference will be held in Oslo. Nor- way in August and there will be Ontario wom- en present as delegates both official and unof- ficial. We have booked a block of seats on a plane leaving Toronto, August 3. flying directâ€" ly to Oslo and returning from Oslo August 24. 4 If you are planning to attend and thcsu (latex coincide with your travel schedule drop to the F.W.I.O. office.
