FROM THE FORUMS: Mrs. Pat. Phillis told of Postal Women's Institute Branches that are in operation for women in some areas of West Australia. Through these incapacitated and women in isolated areas can participate. These branches, Mrs. Phillis told the women have the usual officers â€" President, Secretary, Craft Secretary and Link Letter Secretary. They have two meetings a year with an annual Birthday Meeting. The Link Letter Secretary is in charge of a letter which is sent in turn to each member, each member contributing to the letter. The Craft Secretary is in charge of promoting craft work by letter among the members. There are 55 members in the branch. Radio Branches in Australia were also de- scribed. The first branch was started at Alice Springs in 1956. A recipe book compiled by members of these branches was described. Many questions were asked and someone suggested that this type of program might be of serVice in isolated parts of Canada. Mrs. Raymond Sayre, a former A.C.W.W. president, spoke on the subject “What A.C.W.W. Does Through Conferences.” Ed. Note: Some aspects of Mrs. Sayre's ad- dress have been dealt with in the Editorial. Mrs. Sayre also said, “Attendance at Conâ€" ferences gives us an understanding how to work Internationally. Most of us come with minds bounded by East, West, South, North and by our local community. Here we face up to our differences. Out of this diversity can come strength." Mrs. Daniels, an Indian woman from Alberâ€" ta, Canada, described The Native Women‘s OrganizatiOn which she represented and told of the difficulties experienced in involving the Indian women in an organization.
