Reviewing the format of the Home Economics Branch, Miss MeKercher said that originally it was begun as the Wom- en‘s Institute Branch to previde an educational program for rural women; now one of its most effective roles is assisting girls and women by providing services that promote the development of people. Speaking of the popularity of certain courses. Miss McKereher explained the work of the Branch specialists is to bring courses up to date by revamping projects, such as the 4- H Homemaking Club Unit “Separates For 8 Summer.” She said, “This will be a new unit with the name “Sportswear With Knits." Miss MeKercher reported almost one hun- dred more 4-H Homemaking Clubs this past year with approximately one thousand inon completions, making a total of nearly 27,000 4â€"H Homemaking Project completions this his: year.
