Board Diâ€" rectors are asked to remind members that Tweedsmuir Histories are books of historical facts about a given community and its people, to be treasured and used by the community. “Communities are gradually losing their identi- ties. and as satellite cities and regional govern= rncnts engulf us, Tweedsrnuir Histories will be the sole link with the past," emphasized Mrs. Walker. Mrs. Walker also reported having con- ducted 17 curators’ workshops with 165 Branches and 3 other groups attending. She advised microfilming the Histories when they become cumbersome. Microfilming will preserve material in the books for future generations. Two histories were lost last year in house fires.
