When attending an Institute meeting in Leeds County in I936. she suggested the Women‘s Institutes should compile the history of their respective communities. In due time. the project was advanced and sponsored hthe Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario. and the histories named in her honour. Non in 1973 there are over 1300 of thexe out standing histories being compiled throughout this Province.
