An extremely busy person in her community and church, but she has just completed her terms of office in some of the organizations. “Verna” has worked in the Historical Society compiling a local Township his- tory, secretary of the Western District ofthe Lutheran Church Women as well as teaching Sunday school. Vacation Church school and Week-day Church school. She assisted the Home and School Association for its first year of operation and acted as Program Chairman during 1969-1970. Her interest in Women‘s Institute started in l953 when shejoincd Marmion Branch and has held all the offices in the Branch except Secretary Treasurer. Her contribution to Grey Centre District has extended over a period of about fifteen years. during that period she worked up to Prestdent. At County level. she was a Vice-President. and a Convener of Agriculture and Canadian Industries at Area. A member ot‘the Provin- cial Board for the last three years. representing Subdi- vision 15. and while on the Board she was a member of Grey Brucc Area Executive and also attended the FWIC meeting in Ottawa as one of Ontario's Junior Board Directors. Mrs. Maluske was on the staff of Of- ficers' Conference as well as a Group Discussion Leader for Mcmbersâ€"al-Large during her term as Board Director. She is no stranger to 4H Homemaking Club work. and has attained her ten year leadership certificate. Mrs. Maluske was the first woman to be President of Sullivan Township. Federation of Agriculture. Since her husband's death in 1970 she moved from the farm to Chesley.
