Just hetng together on a universitv campus is another world. as well as the added hunth lo meet members from around the prov- ince. and to discuss the work oflhe Women‘s Institute. The whole Conference revolved around the secre- turviTreasurer Mrs. Robt. B. Weber. The Committee thihks up the ideas but the planning and lying to- aether is left to "Irene". When the details of a Conference run smoothly. the delegates have a greater opportunity to get on with the main objective. "dismissing". A change was implemented this year. while half were in discussion groups the remainder travelled to the lirland Lee Home at Stoney Creek. This seemed to work ell‘eetively. The Erland Lee Home has a new look. just having been newly decorated. the delegates were often heard to remark. “there surely is a difl‘er~ enee". One of the husloads had Mrs. Roland aboard and when in the Parlour. she sat at the organ and played “Bless This House" The Oflicers‘ Conference programme featured the Lee and it will remain as a souvenir for many. it remembrance of the twenty-sev- enth Conference. ’ ENTERTAINMENT Mr. Paul Fry shared his singing talents. and the KW Harmonieers provided an evening of barber shop singing in the Humanities Theatre. The delegates en- joyed the carnival atmosphere of the Barber Shop chorus and quartets in clown costumes as well as the traditional harmonizing for which the Barber Shop- pers are famous. 10 Mrs_ R_ J, Winrnit]. song, leader. and Mrs Rummy provided the “Let’s Sing" at all sessions. Mrs. Winmitt â€" “Let’s-all sing out." Speaks on Conference Theme Mrs. Herbert Maluske was welcomed by thi gates at her ï¬rst Ofï¬cers‘ Conference as Prim President. Speaking on the theme “Undertake thing that is difï¬cult. it will do you good, Unle- try to do something beyond what you have a) mastered. you will never grow.“ A quote by Ron Osborn. This growth process is a lifetime thing. There time in one's life when a person can say Ill stopped growing. If a person continued to learn grow and develop skills every year at the same rt during the ï¬rst year oftife. the results would be - tronomieal proportions.
