APPLETIME TEA AND BAZAAR Arkel] WI, Wellington South District sponsored a sucâ€" cessful bazaar. The decorating committee, Mrs. L, E. Coulâ€" son and Mrs. H. H. Lodge carried the appletime theme throughout the decorations blending the apples with oil lamps and beautiful harvest color of fall leaves both in» side the tea~room and the entrance to the bazaar. Table centrepieces in the tea-room consisted ofminiature baskets of crab apples. trimmed with blue and white gingham bows. A large basket of apples and brightly colored autumn leaves decorated the centre ofthe tea»table and blended with the blue and gold colors ofthe WI cloth. Grenville South Districr has now come about. The idea stemmed from the participation of members in the overseas Staffordshire-Omario exchange trip whicj. proved not only enjoyable but educational. Mrs, Goldie Council. of the Maynard Branch and daugh ter Mrs. Linda Stewart of the Mountsberg WI were respon. sible for the arrangements of an exchange visit of member living 400 miles apart. The members. even the skeptics. heartily endorsed it. idea after having exchanged visits. Seeing the sights ' another County. meeting new people and families, living one another‘s homes.
