HELEN MCKERCI‘IER SCHOLARSHIP AND MACDONALD AWARDS Mrs. M. Zodlu‘ From the 27 applications receivâ€" ed, three scholarship winners were selected. Because it was the 85th Anniversary of the Women’s In- stitute, it was decided to present three awards valued at $1200.00 each. The recipients were Donna Clark, Anne Kennedy, and Leslie Nanos. The 1981 recipient, Anne Marie McHugh, graduated from the University of Guelph this fall. In I983. there will be one scholarship and application forms are available at the FWIO office. Each year awards are available for students entering the Family and Consumer Studies at the University of Guelph. In 1982 there were 22 recipients. Members are urged to make the availability of these awards known so that students may apply for them at the commencev ment of their studies. Awards are for $200.00 in 1983. INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP Mrs. I". PIjI-Ikl FWIO chose as their project the “Special Child Care Courses†at Ware College, England. It is for overseas students or a graduate of Ware College who will be training others in her own country. This year $3,400.00 will be sent for this pur- pose. ROYAL WINTER FAIR REST BOOTH Mrs. M. MIIIer A volunteer committee worked with Mrs. Miller to host the Rest Booth at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair with 1,068 visitors from Scotland. England, Wales, Nor~ thern Ireland. the U.S., Australia, South Africa and Trinidad as well as Canada. Information brochures were given to interested persons. 0 HOSPITALITY REPORT Mrs. E. Freer Mrs. Freer answered letters reâ€" questing contacts with Women’s In- stitute Members in Ontario for overseas visitors. Many wanted to see the Erland Lee Home.
