Here’s some ideas for community projects Women’s Institutes across Ontario become involved in community im- provement projects from time to time. Often it is difficult to think of new ways to help community resi- dents, community groups or just the community itself. Here are some sugâ€" gestions from around the province which your branch may find useful. 1. Help with a blood donor clinic â€" recruiting blood donors door to door or through a phone blitz. 2. Arrange a community clean-up â€" picking up roadside litter, im- proving public areas, e.g. ceme- teries, fairgrounds. parks. 3. Arrange a community party night - Since it’s for the whole com- munity it should include some- thing for every age group, e.g. square dancing, playing cards, games for children, a barbecue, etc. 4.
