Maple Keys The spring district annual was hosted by Maple Keys at the Kurtz« ville Community Centre. Various workshops were offered during the day including a tour of the Maple Keys sugar bush, soft sculpturing demonstration, “Mommy please read me a story". cooking with maple syrup and Impressions in Color. Past-president June Alton gave a presentation on her trip to Vancouver to the ACWW conference. Hastings Lots of activities have been keep- ing Hastings JWI members busy. The director of a home for battered women was the guest speaker at one meeting and a rug hooking demonstration was featured at another meeting. A More Cents than Dollars cooking workshop was held in April and in May a local 4+1 club led the members in good exercise tips and routines. Hastings has just comâ€" plctecl the third printing of its cookbook and members continue to sell the books to raise money for needy community projects. Brant Brant County JWI hosted the Niagara area spring district meeting in May. Members from five branches enjoyed a presentation on com- munication lines in the family and avoiding the roadblocks In the after noon participants took a bus tour of the Adelaide HunterHoodless and Alexander Graham Bell homesteads.
