Lexie Colvin of Teeswater placed first in the Grade 6â€"8 category of the 2008 International Plowing Match Youth Picture Competition sponsored by the Bruce County District WI. We are excited to announce GET INVOLVED as our brand new FWIO theme for the next two years! The 5 key areas of focus will be: WI Family 8! Friends Community Health Environment Marilyn Reid (L), Bruce County WI District President and Phyllis Seigner, WI Youth Picture Competition Committee Rep (R) present Jennifer Perdue and Alexa Clarke certificates fortheir 2nd and 3rd place finish in the competition. This new integrated theme will be used in all FWIO communications, events and activities including the ROSE Program and we encourage your Branch, District and Area to do the same. Having all Wi Branches focusing on a common theme will create a consistent message, help us meet our shared goals and ensure a long and healthy future for our organization, We have already started creating tools and resources for you and your Branches to use while planning yearâ€" long programs and ROSE Sessions, to help with Membership recruitment and to generate awareness about Women’s Institute and what we do. A full package outlining the details of the theme, how to implement it and use it to your advantage will be sent W.mu,~mk;.r ., â€" 21013! e v.‘ In the Grade 2-5 category, Mackenzie Fischer (shown here) won first place and Laura Fullerton of Paisley pIaCed 2nd, to each Branch.
