"Time" sometimes passes you by and you wonder what kind of a treadmill you are on. Can you believe we are already a month into our new year? I hope everyone enjoyed a festive and happy holiday season! The Provincial Conference in August held at Fanshawe College, hosted by London Area, was truly an enlightening experience. The extra day trip to the Stratford Theatre brought back many memories for some of us who had not been there since our high school days. Motivational speakers, helpful workshops, educational travelogues and new friends are what a conference is all about. Thanks again to the London Area committee for all their hard work. Don’t forget the invitation from Kingston Area for Conference 2008. Rosemarywith Wl Members at the Grey Bruce convention lst Fall. Fall is always a busy time for Provincial Presidents. Although I was not able to attend all conventions, I enjoyed my view of the province and meeting fellow Members from the Branches, Districts and Areas. It became apparent after my first meeting that the goals of WI are the same across this province -~ personal growth and community action. Declining Membership is a challenge to Branches in every Area. It is vital to the future of this organization to bring forth a new image for WI in a changing society where, again, “time” is not always kind to us, I have spoken to many Members and I have no fear that we will succeed in keeping our organization strong and vibrant if we work hard and work together. As we prepare to celebrate our 110th Birthday in 2007, | wish that I could find that crystal ball to provide all the answers that our Members are asking for but i know if we stay motivated and keep positive we will be successful. Here’s to another 110 years of Women’s Institute. Have fun and happy celebrating! Yours in WI, Rosemary Moran Headquarters Fundraising Update Funds raised to date are Please continue to send your contributions to the FWIO Provincial Office.
