It‘s a display of 134 quilts donated by quilters from across Canada in support of breast cancer research and outreach support. The quilts are aucâ€" tioned to raise money for the cause. The project was started two years ago by breast cancer survivor Carol Miller of Russelldale. north ofLondon. “I realized that my work and background in quilting could be a valuable tool to create an opportunity to help other women." said Miller. “I had hoped for 35 quilts minimum and was over whelmed to receive 134 quilts from British Columbia to Quebec. So many have been touched by this disease and have chosen The Quilt as their vehicle to express their feelings." she stated. Organize a trip with your Institute to visit this exhibition in the upcoming year. Or better yet, per- haps your Institute would consider donating a quilt for the Millennium Quilt PFOJCCL The proeeeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society office nearest the donor and are directed as you wish to research or support.
