Huron County, My brother Stewart now owns this form, originally taken from the Crown and which my great grandfather Valentine, grandfather Louis and father Alex owned in succession. My husband Charles and I own the farm which has been in the Mann family for more than one hundred years. We are parents of three daughters and one son. When our young family was in school, I entered the “outside the home" workforce. For about ten years I held numerous appointments at a local bank. mostly dealing with loans and credit. I was the first RRSP Officer at the same bank. For five years I worked for a local transport line in accounts receivable, and later in accounts payable. ljoined the Women's Institute in I949, as a young married mother. There have been many highlights in my WI life. But to me the WI means friends helping friends and understanding and learning from each other. I don't believe our spouses and families get enough credit for all the help we receive 50 that we can volunteer. During the haying and harvest season. I mix WI work with farm work on our cow/calf operation. While driving a tractor, [can do a great deal of thinking. and thanking for nature, for family and for friends. Donna Willows â€" Southern Regional VP I was born near Mitchell in Perth County. I attended public school in Logan Township and Mitchell District High School. While growing up I participated in numerous 4-H Clubs. After High School, Ijoined the advertising siaffof a daily newspaâ€" per. the Simifnrd Beacon Herald. I also worked as a stenographer for Fram Canada before marrying my husband Bud. We moved to Fullar- tun Township. where we own a dairy farm. We raise Purebred Holstein Cattle and received our Master Breeders Award in 1988. Bud and I have three children - Larry, who works I'or ujOb finding agency in Toronto. Jeff, who farms the home farm, and Janet. a hog farmer who lives down the road. We are semi-retired. but help on the farm whenever we are needed. In the past, I also worked in retail sales. I have been active in riding politics and still help out on a part-time basis at our MPP riding office for Porthâ€"Middlcsex. I enjoy community work and am a volunteer driver for cancer patients who need treatment in London. I have held most positions at the Branch level ofthe WI and was District President in 1995â€"96. Currently, I am the Board Director for Subdivision 23. The WI has been a big part of my life this past ten years, and I am happy to be involved in this great women's organization.
