Country. Muple Wl Hosts Breast Screening Program ‘ Members of the Maple Ridge WI hosted an Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) information evening last Novem- ber. All women were welcome. Invitations went to women's organiza- tions in the area, as well as to all WI Branches. Dr. Diane Pross emphasized the significance of early detection. She stressed that besides the actual exami» nation and mammogram one of the most important aspects of visiting a i clinic is educating women on why and how to do self-examinations. This is stressed because most breast cancers are discovered by the woman herself. Note: If your Branch is interested in taking part in a Breast Screening infor mation meeting, phone the OBSP toll free number at 1-800-668-9304. Submitted byJanet Hayley. PRO.
