Consequently, meetings were held with staff on September 1 and November 1, 1995, and again in 1996 on January 25-26 and March 15; in January, a facilitator was brought in to resolve the conflict. When a satisfactory solution could not be reached it was decided, with the approval of the Executive, to not renew the Executive Secretary’s contract and to terminate the position of Assistant Secretary. It is imperative that our Provincial Office be a harmonious and welcoming place at all times for our membership. Our FWIO Provincial Office is actively serving the needs of our members, Our finances have been and are being well-hart» died. Paid staff have been hired for an interim period. All hiring of office personnel is pending the direction and approval of the August Board. The Women’s Institute ladies from the Guelph and surrounding area have been wonderful in assisting at the 0f- ftce. Our many, many thanks! The Personnel Committee Provincial Office Feature: What does the 30 cents per member insurance tee assessment cover? his insurance fee is assessed by the Broker McLaren & Wright Insurance Ltd. of Almontc, Ontario, to provide public liability coverage to each and every member of the Federated Women‘s Institutes of Ontario. The policy covers injury and/or loss of personal property sustained by a member of the public that is accidentally caused by a Women’s Institute member who is taking part in apublic event (atasbopping mall, for example). The coverage is for two million dollars. This policy does not cover injuries to the Women‘s Institute member them- selves. We are frequently requested to provide this kind of insurance to mall operators and township clerks when Women’s Institute Branches cater events, set up a mall display or booth or take part in any other kind.’ public function. Don't hesitate to call the Provincial Office if you need proof of the FWIO’s public liability insurance. FWIO MAILBAG: Mrs. B.
