Isabelle Underwood of the South Saugeen WI Branch. has taken it one ‘stitch' further. After attending Quilt Canada in Waterloo in [990. Isobelle returned home to launch the Bruce Grey Heritage Quilt Project. Through this project, Isobelle has revealed that WI members have a rich legacy of COmmunity and quilting history to share. An article written by Isobelle. entitled “The Women’s Institute and Quilt Research.“ documents some of this legacy. This article appears in Part/two rds' I992 and Parchwurds 1994: Volumes I and 2 of the Research Papers of the Canadian Quilt Study Group. Each province is invited to participate and to so act three quilts for display during the Convention and on Open Days. Poles: No restrictions on the size or age of quilts. :l FWIC will have insurance coverage for quilts at the Convention. Provinces must provide transit insurance.
