White Lake WI host Indonesian delegation .By Donna Russett any thanks to the Farm Women’s Bureau of Agriculture Canada for inviting the Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario (FWIO) to make a presentation and host the State Minister for the Role of Women of the Republic of Indonesia and her delegation. The White Lake Women’s Institute hosted the delegation on September 16, 1993. The policies of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the Government of Indonesia have sup- ported the development of excellent relations between the women of Indonesia and Canada over the past ten years. Begin~ ning in 1988. the Government of Canada began a program to co-operate directly with the Indonesian Ministry for the Role of Women to ensure the integration of women into development activities. This particular mission to Canada provided a number of opâ€" portunities for the Minister: to identify issues of importance for mutual co-operation; to highlight relevant Canadian programs; to meet policy-makers and ofï¬cials of implementation agencies; and, to become familiar with staff and structures of national and provincial women's ministries. It will portray decade by decade pictoral views of all the rooms in an Ontario home, as well as their gardens and verandahs. It is hoped that these pho- tographs depict the homes of Women’s Institute members, and not necessarily rely on museums and archives as sources; this will make the book a truly special Women‘s Institute commentary. Women's Institute members are encourâ€" aged to write to the Centennial Committee with any 100th anniversary ideas they may have.
