Games and races formed the chief attraction. Lunch, lemonade and ice cream was served. On September 1, 1937, school started again for the year 1937-38 in the midst of a terrific heat wave. On September 23, 1937, the annual Rural School Fair was held after being postposed due to paralysis. EVerett Bolton and Douglas Dunford took second and third prizes. On November 5, 1937, the Annual Public Speaking Contest was held at the Court House, Peterborough. Everett Bolton was placed fifth in Peterborough County. The Annual Christmas Concert was held on December 22, 1937. Mrs. Kilborn was present to accompany in the musical numbers. In April 20th, let, 1938, Douglas Dunford and Everett Bolton attended the O.E.A. They were a part of the group taken to Toronto by Mr. G. Kilborn. On June 29, 1938, the annual school picnic was held.
