We were pleased to have with us at this meeting Mrs. Eady, a member of Glasgow Station Institute; also several visitors, two of whom became members (Mrs. Geo. Johnson and Mrs, L. C. Humphries), The books showed a good year for the Institute, There had been donations given to Belgian Relief, Patriotic and Red Cross funds, also some work done for the latter, also a donation to home needs, leaving a small sum of cash on hand. The handkerchiefs for the soldiers were brought in which were over two hundred and fifty. Mrs. J. Farrel kindly offered to deliver them in Renfrew. Arrangements were made for the next meeting when Mrs. W. H. Parsons is to be present and speak on subjects given. After giving the matter some consideration it was agreed that we meet on the lake shore at W. I. Neil's. All ladies, both young and old, are cordially invited. The committee appointed to arrange about refreshments for this meeting are Miss Mona Early on Castleford line and Mrs. J. Farrel of the Bonnechere Valley line. The roll call brought a very satisfactory business meeting to a close, Then a pleasant half-hour was spent while the hostess served tea after which she gave us some very fine gramophone selections. I might mention that we have asked to have the name of the Institute changed from Lochwinnoch to Castleford. Mrs, A. Johnson, president; Mrs. Jas.
