After a one thousand dollar loan from the Bruce County Council was repaid. an eight thousand dollar profit enabled us at our rally to establish two. three hundred dollar annual awards. The interest on the money invested will allow us to annually award three hundredrdollgs for firstly. the person. male or ’emale. between the ages of 18 incl 25 who has contributed the most towards agriculture in our county during the year and secondly. a further three hundred dollars for the person. male or female between the ages of 18 and 25 who has contributed the most towards the community in the county during the year. A committee was chosen to set up these awards. We are justly proud of our young people and hope to encourage them in a small way to achieve their greatest potential.
