Ivy has been associated with The Tara Leader since 1943. At that time. the paper was owned by her lather and ‘ late husband, ‘with Ivy taking part in the operation by sher- ing all kinds oi duties. such as operating a linotype, writing stories. etc, Dillerent members at the iamlly operated the paper, with lvy's involvement, until 1974 when it was sold.
