A clean up at Glasgow hgll A top to bottom clean up of the Glasgow Community Hall was one of the items for the Glasg0w Institute members. The hall built in I9l6 was at one time the site of many wedding receptions, com- munity parties. card parties. school and institute concerts. As new and modern facilities were built in neighboring towns the hall saw little activity for a number of years. Recently the use of the hall has been revived as members of the community have begun to again take an in- terest. it has been the site of young people's parties, bridal showers. band practices and dances. The institute decided to establish a fund to be used for improvements to the hall with the ï¬rst contribution coming from the proceeds of an auction sale catered to by institute members. In September. Institute members gathered at the hall scrubbed walls. ceiling and floors. then held a pot luck supper with a capacity crowd enjoying the home cooked food. Following supper a sing song was held, a skit and a monologue presented by institute members. A suitcase relay with all present par- ticipating concluded the . 3 I'll" I a! , " f .
