1960 lhomas Austin born in 1879 in West McGillivray, eldest sonr ofThomas Austin born in Glasgow, Scotland. Mrs Austin, Born 1883 in McGillivray, youngest daughter of Nicholas Faulder of McGillivray. Married, May 10th, 1900, in Port Huron, Michigan. The first few years of their married life was quite unsettled. Dad worked as brakeman with C.N. Railway for 4 â€"5 years from there they moved to Carlisle where Dad was a blacksmith for 4 years. Mother was kept busy with housework and lookâ€" ing after four children. From there they went farming in the Lucan, Kirkton and Dor chester districts. After 35 to 40 years of farming, blacksmithing and raising a family of seven boys and four girls they moved to the McKinnon farms R.R. # 3, Holyrood. The neighbours, doctors, grocerymen etc. were all so very kind and made their stay there very happy. 1961 Dad became very ill with that dreadful, incurable decease cancer that took his life and put it in Gods Care December 7th, 1961. 1959 Mother had a stroke leaving her partially parslized down the left side. Determination and will power pulled her t rought this sickness. After spending what seemed many endless days and nights caring for Dad during his illness she became ill, gave up the farm and is now making her home in Toronto. Needless to say she misses her Lucknow friends. However, as time goes and she iw well enought to go out she will once agar start a new life and may God give her strength and good health to enjoy Toronto for a number of years to code.
