Malcolm a small but flourishing centre lies 2 miles west of Elmwood- (reported about 70 years ago). it is situated on the corner of Con. 10 a: 25th siderued in the township of Brent. The village consith of a school. two hotels, dance hall, general store, post office, Presbyterian church, wagon shop, blacksmith ship and brickyard. CHEESE in the early eighteen fifties, pioneers of the growing hamlet erected a Presbyterian church - a small log building which was on the lot where the school now stands. in 1872 plans for a new brick church to replace the old log building were begun.
