The study concentrated on Norway and the Oslo Conference. The history of ACHW was traced from Stoney Creek to the present with emphasis on the last Conference. A beautifully decorated cake and snapshots made a fitting closing. The summary of our Branch for 1960-70 has been prepared by the Curator and forwarded to the District Curator. Vol.1 of out Tweedsmuir History has been microfilmed. This was the story of our church, schools, b-H and other organizations up to 1970. Vol. II which is the story of our farms up to end of 1970, is now ready for micro- filming. Vol. III has been purchased and material for 1971 entered. Since we closed off our Tweedsmuir Histories at the end of 1970, we also o105ed off our "Urapbooks, one on important world events and the other on Women's Institute activities at all levels. Two new ones have been started. The Tweedwmuir Histories were displayed at one meeting. The Curator was given the topic "Local History“ at this meeting. Many new members did not know the story of t he settling of thea tea, ans start of the schools, church store and shops. A special collection was taken at this meeting for upkeep of the Books. During the past year, Branch families were permitted to borrow the Histories and view them in their homes with the understanding they would be returned in the same condition they were received. Most made a small donation when they returned the Book, and also sent in pictures and material. Response for materials Bemains good. During the year, the Curator took two films of pictures of homes and barns of our area. Most have now been photographed and it is amazing how many are disappearing. 77.7.77” 7 a," "777.. n 4 3 Purple Grove Reid: Corners Ripley Silver Lake Teeswafer Jr. Tceswaver Sr. Tivcflon Whliechurch 1961â€" 1971 The members Conferences each year. h-H organized Each Uon McCosh begin her tarmdgm'
