Preface â€" Southline Brant Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History Books: The histories, events and activities compiled in volumes one to ten are from the records ofmembers and former members of the Southline Brant Women's Institite. Some of the information in the farm histories also comes from owners or previous owners of the farms concerned, and are sometimes written from memory. Therefore dates and facts may not be exact in all instances, but are confirmed to the best of our knowledge. Some dates of CrOWn Grants and some of the other information is taken from "The History of the Township of Brant 1854â€"1979, edited by Laura M. Gateman and published in 1979 by the Brant Township Historical Society, R. R. 1, Elmwoud, Ontario." The information in these volumes is provided through the genornuu contributions of many volunteer hours by past Curators of ihe Southline Brant Women's Institite, as well as many residents and former residents of the Southline . We thank everyone who ha; contributed information and pictures to these Tweedsmuir HisLuig Books. and especially the Bruce County Women's Institute who hivw copied them, making them available to all. Members of Women's Institute Branches across Bruno County havp produced a cookbook entitled, "Delicious Traditions oi HFHVP." The funds raised by the sale of these cookbooks have assisrwu in the copying and placement of the Tweedsmuir History Hooks ii Ihw Southline Brant Women's Institute in the Bruce County Museum and Archives in Southampton for all to access.
