The picture of the house was taken at the farm of Ross and Vthe‘ Hickling. They mOVed the 2 room house on a flat rack aftvr the took possession of the tree farm :a ’iA/ Tree Farm: Mac Kirstine and Walter Burgess reforested the north 25 acres with the idea of selling some of them for Christmas trees when they were the right height. About 1200 trees per acre were planted by hand. These trees consisted of spruce, , scotch pine,red and white pine. they were 4 to 5" high and were planted every year from 1949 to 1954. The Government gave the small trees and the school children helped to plant them. When the trees were 5 to 6‘ tall, many were thinned out for Christmas trees
