It Was taken out of the crown in 1369 byJames Smith at a cost of $300.00 The farm was later acquired by Richard Large Tanner in July of 1883. James John Tanner (19-70-139) son of Richard took it over in February 1897. John Tanner built the present home in 1907. He married Susanna Hilgartner (187uâ€"19h7); they had 2 children. Wm Harry (1899-19681 and Lola Ann (Mrs. Milton Zister of Hanoverl. Harry married Lottie Fewlie in May 1920 and took over the Farm. John and Susanna m0ved to Hanover. Harry and Lottie had three children. Hilda (Mrs. Cecil Leader) of R.R. #6 Dundalk; Merley, who now operates the Family Farm; and Maxine ( Mrs. Gordon Reid) 0f R.R. #LTiverton. Morley married Marjorie Henry in Octnber 1954; they have three children: Reg, Ann and Gwen. Fe; helps his father operate the dairy farm and is the 5th generation Tanner on this farm.
