Medals and certifica- tes were presented to the citizens last Saturday evening in recognition of the contributions they have made to amateur sports and their commu- nity in general. The awardsjwere bestowed under the federal govern- ment's Celebration 88 program with recipients being chosen by a local committee chaired by Reeve Claude Gravel. The awards presen- tation was the first event held at the South Planta- genet municipal hall sin- ce it was renovated. The hall, located near Four- nier, will be officially opened March 20.
