I999 at the Division Street Church in Owen Sound, 168 Ladies from all walks oflife and all comers of Grey and Bruce Counties attended. Also present were guests from London. Guelph and Simcoe Areas. We were son'y to hear that our provincial President Mrs. Arthena Hacker was unable to attend this convention due to a car accident. We sure wish her a speedy recovery. Aï¬er the flag presentation by Fran Farrell. the Warden of Grey County. Mr. Al Bye, extended warm welcome greetings. After all reports were given a nice lunch was served and a accordion-solo performed for entertainment. The guest speaker, Mrs. Mary Growden, was talking on the subject of organ donations. Her knowledge on the subject is not only well researched, but also she gained a lot of experience by having to live through it. Mary being a double lung transplant recipient herself, talked about her ordeal step by step. Her faith, her family and the community of Wiarton gave her the support to rmaster all obstacles.
