Descendants of the pioneer settlers of Westminster Township honored the memories of their forefathers at a special outdoor service at Pond Mills Cemetery. Inaugurated in 1933, the memorial services are held annually and have been marked by wider attendance each year. Rev. James Scobie, pastor of First United Church Westminster, addressed the gathering at the I cemetery. The choir of First United Church, under the leadership of Robert Baty, was also present.
