Betty helped by loving and helping many ioster children. Betty was also well known for her work in the local Women's instituter her handcraited sweaters and beautifully decorated cakes. Betty and Cliff met In England during Clifi's 4 years In World War 2. Cilit was In the army and Betty Cou‘pie‘were dedicated was one oi the strong British who betriended all soldiers who taught In the war. Thusly CH" and Betty were dedicated to the War- ton Legion and In 1973 to 1975 served as presidents lor the Legion and Women's Auxiliary. Betty was born Elizabeth Tlldesley In Rugby. England. Her loving iarnlly are, here parents Ester and Richard Tlideslsy (both pre- deceased). sister Hilde Lee (predeceased). sister Lily (pradeceaeedl. sister Ada Shirley oi Rugby and brother Fllchard and wile Margaret of Northampton- ehlre, England. Even after 1945. when Cliit brought Betty lo Canada. Betty remained In close touch with her lamlly and now has many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand- nephews who loved and admired her. Betty returned to England twice. Cilii was born in Wiarton.
