From 1914 to l918 dqring the yexrs of the first World War, W.I. work was mostly Red Cross work -- with bundles being sent nonthly anfl shipped from Ernestown train station. These parcels were made up of knit socks, helmets, mitts, and gowns for surgeons and such. Mrs. McDonald was a devoted worker in the Anglican Church and besides her housework, she taught piaqo lessons to many Island children. She kept up her W.I. menbershlp as long as her health permitted and gave much to hsr C3dfluflitj. She died in 1931. Dated -- l993
